How much would Disney charge if they brought back the Platinum Pass (AP for DL and WDW)?

With the WDW Incredi-pass at $1600+ and the DL Inspire Key at $1800+ my guess for a Platinum AP for both parks would be upwards of $2500.

Yep, and I doubt it would be much of a seller. It was actually called the Disney Premier Passport if memory serves me. Had it one year but didn't think it was worth it. Back then I think it cost around 800... it was under a thousand but I can't recall just what it cost. At the time we were hitting Florida and California several times a year, but once my frequent flier miles started running dry we didn't hit the parks enough to justify it. I know at the time I was only able to justify it for myself and using the discounts to make it seem reasonable. Now that we no longer waste our money on their hotels I doubt we could ever make one work even if we were still hitting the parks every few months.

As much as they could possibly get away with charging. They would start out with a fairly significant amount and evaluate how well it sold. Once it proved itself as a money maker with guests wanting it at that price, then slam them with something higher. Once guests get used to having it and want it they will keep ordering it as a normal part of their trips.
Its been proven to work with other Disney money grabs.

People forget, but I remember doing the math and it was quite simple, the price of those passes was the sum of the two parks most expensive passes with all the ad ons. So knowing that:

An Incridipass w/waterparks and more and photopass=$1967.06

An Inspire Magic Key=$1899

So my guess would be $3866.06. Note that this ignores that Inspire Keys no block off Christmas but I believe modern Disney would do the same to this pass. Those passes never discounted their duel use, mind you a smart move would be to throw in DLP as well now that they own that to be able to up the price even more by adding that parks AP bringing the total to $4802.58.

It wasn’t before it was literally the same price, but you got a fancy AP card that worked at both places
You also got a fancy magnet!!

I had that pass most of the years it was available - I think it was a little cheaper than the most expensive passes at both parks and you got all the maximum benefits.

I currently own both an AP and a Magic Key - even if I paid the same and just got less blackout dates in Cali it would be a savings.

In 2019 the Premier Pass was $1949
WDW highest level pass $1219
DL highest level pass $1399

So you still saved over $600 even at the end. Early on it was a very good value - I bought it one year with the 3-month free bonus and thought I was robbing poor Mickey! Haha

(Btw I realize this is like the DVC math “saving money” is a very interesting term to use)
