Disney says the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo refurbishment from January 12 through early April 2026.

From January 12 through January 30, 2026, the dock will be closed and boat transportation temporarily suspended.

Here's the announcement: From Jan. 12, 2026, through early April 2026, the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo routine maintenance. The dock will be closed and boat transportation temporarily suspended from Jan. 12–30.

Ooof. Bad luck for those staying there. Considering those trips are already booked I wonder if Disney will offer any incentives or possible discounts to make up for that for current reservations. It's a pretty big modification to suspend boat service to MK since that's a primary benefit of the resort.

A discount?, I don't see that happening.

Some years ago, I got a set of 3 pins during major renovations at Coronado Springs. That was it.

Do they give discounts to Skyliner resorts when the service is suspended for maintenance?
They’ll just run more buses.

WL has always provided two forms of transportation to MK - boat and bus. The dock is in desperate need of repair so suspending boat service in one of the slowest months of the year does not seem unreasonable to me.

By the way, this is my current view.

Good. We used the dock back in January when were resort hopping to head back over to the MK gates (didn't really need to, just did it for the fun and the experience), and it was in rough shape.
