I love the room! The theming is modern and fresh, but still very present. I also love the new pops of red!

Agree. Pop Century's newly refurbished rooms also have new rugs, so yes, hopefully a start of a trend.

Honestly, if the Polynesian rooms had an area rug and a less chaotic wallpaper, they'd be perfectly fine too. The Grand and the Contemporary already got area rugs in their latest refurbs. The only recent massive missteps to me in the deluxe space were Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary. The Contemporary in particular, mostly because the decals look horrible, the main flooring looks especially artificial and shows dirt, some of the furniture looks really cheap, and the color story is kind of off-putting.

I actually prefer the "Donald Duck Rooms" at the Beach Club myself....but that's just me:

Was at Yacht today. Their common area rugs have gone back to shades of navy and away from that hideous puke yellow.
