EPCOT Remy's Ratatouille Adventure to transition to 2D with brief refurbishment in November 2025

In 3 days we lost two lightning Lanes due to the ride being down and on the third day it was down for an hour and a half. We thought we were going to lose our lightning lane again for the third day in a row after going to Epcot just for the ride after we held the lightning lane all day for it and it opened up and we actually got on it. The 2D effects are fine but a definite downgrade. Since it's reopening, it seems to be down several cars and running incredibly slow and while we were on it, we got stuck in two different scenes for at least five replays of that scene. The bugs are not worked out and in total we lost at least $250 and just lost lightning Lanes

I'll clarify what I meant by lost. It was immediately converted to a multi-pass. We had to select another ride and when doing so there was nothing available in the app. We went over to figment and used our magic bands and we had a lightning lane but somehow it just used our multipass. We told the people at soarin that our multipass had been charged wrong and they said that there wasn't anything they could do about it. The second one we had a lightning lane for Ratatouille. It was around 7:00 after and we waited until Park close right at the gate. Hoping that it would open up with our kids crying and it never did. It was closed until Park closed so we lost that one. The next day we knew we were going to hop from magic Kingdom so we quickly got a magic carpet lightning Lane and checked into magic Kingdom so that we could get a lightning lane in another Park and we got Ratatouille for around 6:00 p.m. we hopped over there at 5:00 and by 6:00 again it was closed but at 6:30 it had miraculously reopened and we got on it after having three lightning Lanes. So we're 3 days losing one, some kind of glitch, losing one to Park closure. Waiting it out in hopes that we wouldn't have to come all the way back to Epcot and then the last one was just a sheer miracle that the ride opened up but it was glitchy. If we would have switched our am from our day at magic Kingdom and losing our 7 day out LL reservations on that third day we would have just gone to Epcot in the am and waited it out in the line because it's a must ride.

Can you clarify what you mean by “lost”? Usually when a ride is down, the Lightning Lane converts to one that can be used for another attraction of your choice (with certain exceptions).
A ride going down during your LL window is literally the best thing in the world! When I went to DLR under G+, I specifically was trying to book things in the morning that are often closed (trying to stack multiple experience passes).

This was a little bit hard to follow for me, but if Figment used your pass, you should have gone to Guest Services and not the Soarin' cast members. They even have little stands throughout the parks now, so you don't have to go all the way to the front of the park. We had some issues with lightening lanes, and they were able to credit us a pass for Test Track when it was the only ride sold out for the day.

It's a little hard to find those guys in the dark and go there and back to a ride when you think you have a pass rather than just get in the line without a pass at that point and lose it.

Any opinions on the changes?

I genuinely don't care for it. The 3D never made me nauseous, but this version does. I'm sure eventually it will be fine for me, but I'm not sure. On top of that, because you no longer have the glasses, you can see the plates you sit on way too well. It just very much exposes how much your vehicle is just going scene to scene and sitting in front of a screen.

Alicia did a much better job articulating a lot of my feelings on twitter, but it just feels like a major downgrade.
