IDK.....Filming Wise: this was not the Sunday I was expecting

Rain canceled MOUACT, No Big Numbers/Fireworks before Starlight. I did see little rehearsals but that's it. If the Big Name Talent is After Hours, where's the Audience coming from??
Years ago I know they opened those types of tapings up to cast members, but not sure if that is still the case.

Compared to Elton John, most of these are a bit of a letdown. I had to Google who most of them were! Guess I'm getting old, and I'm not even 30... Jesus Christ.
yeah aside from yearwood and stefani I was like huh? who? I think there was one other I knew, oh Hough of course, but the rest I was clueless.

Ms. Rexha didn't even sing that song when I saw her when she was filming on Saturday, for what it's worth, which a producer mentioned to me they had to record several times throughout the afternoon (she massacred a certain Wham! "classic" instead). So she may have more than one number, or it was cut (which I would be confused about as there was significant pyro invested).

I’m sure their canned, autotuned “singing” will be great. 🙄

Those two are around 60 years old. Disney’s going for a younger demographic. That doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t talented.

She will likely also be in the Christmas Day show

Didn't Nicole Scherzinger win a Tony award for best actress in a musical this year?
Should she have is probably a different topic of discussion, but she did win a Tony this year. I recognized her, Trisha, Gwen, and Derek (though I think his sister is more talented, but that's besides the point). The rest I had literally never heard of.

Beyond musical theatre, Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman, and some Disney music, my musical tastes end when the 80's did, so naturally that plays a factor...
