Hello all!

I was wondering what you guys thinking of a 3rd Avatar ride coming to Disney World? Now that Disney has own Fox for a few years, and we are in the middle of the Avatar sequels coming out, I believe it’s not a question of if, but when the 3rd ride comes.

I think D23 next year will have some answers!

Cheers!

Depends on your definition of soon. Wouldn't make sense to crank out 3 E ticket rides so soon to one another.

You wanna space them out to keep that money flowing in.

Who says it would be an E ticket? They could use a family friendly A/B/C ticket over there too. The boat ride is fun, but the wait time it generates is only due to people who cannot or will not ride Flight of Passage. Build something else over there and let people split up their time more evenly.

I can't see them using the hype of the Avatar sequels to build an A/B ticket. They also like to build those sort of attractions as part of another major rollout, not on their own.

They can’t really justify the ridiculous project costs and they have not really addressed cost escalation. That’s why the few smaller scale attractions that do happen tend to be part of larger projects.

They built an A for Inside Out. And what is Frozen Ever After? A C ticket? Shoot look at Mermaid, a B ticket hiding in an E facade. Anything is on the table.
Emotional Whirlwind wasn’t a new ride, and redressing it somehow cost significantly more than Zamperla sells those rides for new. It was also part of the larger Pixar Pier project. And just because something didn’t turn out well doesn’t mean it was intended as a lower ticket experience, and reinforces the cost issue.

With Dinoland USA gone, I know you all want another family friendly spinner, a la Dumbo.

So how about they put in a spinner attraction where you ride on a Banshee? They could even use the old spinner from Dinoland!

Or we could do swirling banshees, like Alien Swirling Saucers, but with banshees!

In case it wasn't obvious. 🙃

Money, money, money, money. Dis is trying hard now to catch up with Uni and are extending themselves now. It would be nice to have something else as long as it was a good thrill and not some simple spinner ride that is low rider capacity and isn’t worth waiting in line for. Avatar stays popular enough to keep guests wanting more. Dis should have added a better attraction than Navi and should make up for that. But it comes down to time and money which Dis is running low on.

Not anytime soon.

Could the soon to begin construction DCA attraction (or a close variation) eventually find its way to WDW? Chances are high.
