. Haven't been on Fyre Drill to see if it's similar...
It is not as wet as the rides at IoA in my limited experience on it. How wet you get on FD partly depends on what targets you personaIly hit. I vaguely recall that it was mostly my upper body that got wet. My shoes stayed dry, and standing =dryer than sitting.

So do you carry around a change footwear for the 1/2 water rides you might go on during a day at WDW? Or do you wear sandals for the entire day? I don't think i could do a full park day in sandals.
When Kali was new, we sometimes brought cheap flip flops to AK that we wore just for Kali. (the flat type take up minimal space/are light, but are still more than I want to carry.) Now, we wear quality hiking style sandals. In warmer months, we prefer to wear them all day almost every day over sneakers.

By this I mean, sandals = a wide variety of shoes, from cheap flip flops to high quality shoes.

You want something that is water tolerant, with good arch support, and (IMO) has adjustable straps. Some brands to consider that come in both genders are Keen, Ecco., Dr. Scholls. Something like Dr. Scholl's Gus sandal. Leather sandals will usually be okay in rain, but they can be improved with waterproofing spray.

2017 through 2020 AK had higher attendance than EPCOT according to TEA reports.

Just shows what new attractions can do for a park.
I feel like the most crowded I ever saw AK was back in 2006, when Everest was new. Maybe it was just that parkgoers were more concentrated on the walkways, but AK felt crazy busy that spring.

When the Avatar area was new, and it was open at night, and the area was in good shape, and they had live performers, it was more appealing than it is now.

Faded fake plants are not compelling. But I am inclined to think they would not have to do all that much to make the area more compelling again. It would take some money, but they should have made the plants more interactive. Moana gets criticized here, but that attraction has some staying power because young children are drawn like magnets to play with interactive water fountains.

For that matter, the interactive water guns used to be one of the highlights of Kali.
