EPCOT Impressions de France having operational issues?

I made an evening visit to EPCOT last week to watch Impressions de France, and upon arriving to the theatre at 8 PM I was greeted by the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along still running. I asked a CM about it and they said the mechanism that controls the curtains for Impressions broke and that they’re working on fixing it. One of my friends visited last night and had the same thing happen to them, but the CM just said they were having technical difficulties and they didn’t know when Impressions would be back.

Does anybody happen to have any info about what’s going on? It could just be coincidence and two separate issues causing two separate nights of downtime, but a little part of me is concerned that Impressions might have just remained closed for the last week.

For sure. I kind of think impressions had a bigger crowd than the circle visions I saw but trying to remember. I was surprised how many were with me in the theatre I remember that haha.
The comfy seats are a definite plus vs. the movies where you have to stand. And several years back they relented and would allow you to bring in a glass of champagne. Honestly one of my favorite ways to spend 20 minutes and was fantastic to get out of the heat or rain. I'm sure many used it for napping as well. The music is beautiful.

This is the last unaltered (not counting restoration) opening-day attraction of EPCOT. I've always loved the film but it unexpectedly becoming a time-capsule of c1980 France makes it all the more charming imo. I hope it's back soon and this "curtain malfunction" isn't their excuse to phase it out altogether! People can sing-along at Hollywood Studios!

I have no issue with sing alongs and their popularity for kids, but shove it in Magic Eye or some other theater that’s wildly underutilized

Wouldn't American Adventure equal it? Yeah, the finales been changed a handful of times but the main show is basically the same as in 1982. The other sad thing is AA is the last World Showcase other than IDF attraction that is actually is a showcase of the actual country rather than a cartoon version of it like what has happened to the rest of World Showcase.
