Hollywood Studios Planning

We will be at WWD the week of Thanksgiving and it looks like Thanksgiving Day will be best for our schedule to hit Hollywood Studios.

This is our first trip to Disney with our daughter (13) so we want to do everything we can.

We plan to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass (and likely Single Pass for Rise of Resistance).

Questions are:

1) We plan to stay at the park all day - do you think early entry is necessary for Hollywood Studios? We are staying on site, but some of what I read leads me to believe that there is plenty of time to do everything at HS during regular hours.

2) I am considering doing the Fantasmic Dining Package so we have guaranteed seats at the show and do not have to show up so far in advance. Any thoughts on if this is worth it? Considering the package with lunch at the 50s diner bc that seems like it could be fun for Thanksgiving Day. I'd like to keep the evening for grabbing snacks and maybe reservation for drink at Oga's cantina

1. I would not say it's necessary. But I think it depends on what you get for lightning lanes and what you might want to wait in line for. If you get a lightning lane for slinky (longest line in the park usually), you can probably do without early entry. Unless you want shorter lines for Tot And RnRC. You can knock those out during early entry.

2. I enjoy the dining package. The theater can get full and you have to stand. I would never stand for that long. So you would have to wait in line before the show from 30 min - 1 hour to ensure a seat. I would rather maximize my day without extra waiting so we always splurge for the dining package. And we chose 50s last time. It was a good meal and the "mom" aspect was super fun and our kids loved it. Sci Fi is a good choice as well but I'm not as big of a fan of the food since they changed the menu and the dark and noise makes it not a great conversation space.
