Disney Springs Workers Sound the Alarm Over Alleged Disney Code of Conduct
Violations by Restaurant Subcontractor Patina Group
Disney faces calls to investigate alleged violations of their Supply Chain Code of Conduct
WHO: UNITE HERE Local 737 members, including Disney Springs and EPCOT restaurant workers
WHAT: Press conference to announce the filing of a formal complaint to The Walt Disney Company regarding alleged violations of Disney's Supply Chain Code of Conduct by Patina Group, a subsidiary of Delaware North. Patina operates several restaurants within both Disney Springs and EPCOT.
Workers will be walking inside Disney's labor relations office to deliver complaints.
The key provisions of the Code that Patina Group may have violated are:
- Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
- Compliance with applicable laws
- Sexual Harassment and Abuse
Workers and union leaders will call on Disney to investigate and act to enforce its own standards on worker treatment, legal compliance, and protection from sexual harassment.
