I expected both: 1) things kicked into a "higher gear" right after scrims completed, & 2) they demo (plus haul away any related debris immediately created) overnight) ....

Once they decide to take out all the trees () it will look a lot different and will seem like a huge amount of progress -- I can imagine that happening in the next few weeks. Hopefully they mill all the trees into lumber for use in Piston Peak, that would be at least respectful.

I know a lot of people don't like this project. I personally do. But I think we can all agree at least they're actually getting building quick. Here's hoping to not five years for half the promises, looking at you epcot

Nothing about this is particularly quick. It’s just as phase where people can notice changes.

also of note - the railroad swing bridge is still in place - maybe it will stay? Obviously won’t be necessary anymore but a neat piece of actual railroad and theme park history.

You did look at the updated conceptual rendition ? There's significantly more illustrated water areas than the previous version.

It's still docked at the backstage marina on Bay Lake. No further update on it.

Yes - they have rafts to the island. And the River / boats / island are all a central part of the design. It’s definitely a mash up of designs - which I find fascinating.
