its a bit of a walk from the main building to any of the amenities , but is a bit quieter than the concourse rooms. It has a bit of a view of the boats traveling around, but IMHO you could do better. The Contemporary has an elevator problem to the 4th floor where most of the shopping, dining and monorail transportation resides. All of the elevators are on a demand basis and very inefficient.

When we stay at Contemp we always book the Garden wing for its quietness. We have never been bothered by the short walk to the main building for meals or monorail service or pool access. Id rather have the quiet environment than deal with the tower noises. Weve never had any issues with hearing noises from the surrounding rooms. Also waiting for the elevator which can take forever to reach the ground floor can be maddening. Waking up in the morning to the sun raising over Bay Lake and seeing rabbits on the grass is peaceful.
Be sure to take time in the evening to watch the Electrical water parade from the dock.
