Once again people need to remember that just because "it's always this hot in Florida" doesn't mean the warnings don't serve a purpose.

Tourists who aren't used to this kind of heat are being informed of what to expect and how to handle it.

There was a warning from someone on social media that I saw recently telling people to be careful because they burnt their feet on the hot pavement at a water park. Sometimes people don't realize how different Florida is compared to where they live.

We had a local warning in July, because of a sudden change in temperature. The actual temperature was comparable to a hot summer day, but the warning happened because it was a sudden spike and people wouldn't be used to it yet.

If this is normal and something you're used to, great. Maybe the warning isn't directed at you.

Absolutely. We did fine during the July heatwave because we are accustomed to WDW in the summer and took an afternoon swim break every day. I really feel for people who stayed in a park all day. At least summer crowds are much lower than a couple decades ago. I couldn’t imagine going to WDW in this heat with 2005 summer crowds. It’s more manageable when you aren’t waiting more than 30 min for much of anything.

The biggest thing I noticed is that mornings used to be cooler. You could arrive in a park in the summer with temperatures still in the low 70s, which felt almost pleasant. Now, it doesn’t get much below 80 in the summer. You’re waiting for a bus at 7 am and it’s already on the cusp of “hot”. Not much relief either given the increase in days with no rain. It doesn’t rain “every day at 3 pm for an hour” like people like to imagine.

It’s hot. But different. We did 10 days in central Florida and a 4-day cruise and NEVER had to put ponchos on. I was thankful but that’s crazy. It was nice that Test Track never went down…

Definitely also - there is a difference between feeling like 95 and feeling like 115 ... So just b/c someone has done WDW in the summer before, doesn't mean this won't be worse than what they have experienced in the past and should be prepared

WDW could take note from, say, Kung-Fu Panda Land at Universal Beijing.
Completely indoor themed land with dark ride, flat rides, shopping, M&G, can be enjoyed regardless of weather.

The indoor theme and ambience is created so well, it makes guests feel as if they're actually in China.

Universal should have taken note from, say Kung-Fu Panda Land at Universal Beijing when designing Universal Epic Universe.

Better yet they should follow the Dubai parks model and build all parks indoors. The only downside is coasters like Velocicoaster and Stardust Racers wouldn't be built
