You'd be better off adding salt to your water. There is a frighteningly small amount of electrolytes in both of those products. Also recommend drinking powerade/gatorade on super hot days, not just water.
A lot of Gatorade has artificial sweeteners added --not goodYou'd be better off adding salt to your water. There is a frighteningly small amount of electrolytes in both of those products.
It the old days September was our choice because the summer was always the crowded time. The increase in the number of extreme heat events over the past few years in Orlando is one of the reasons Summer is now basically low season.
It’s the heat waves that have been coming more consistently that have people changing their plans.Last few days at the World have been brutal.
I haven't even stepped out of my house to watch the fireworks in my backyard, because I get to opening the door into my garage and realize it's too bloody hot to sit outside for 20 minutes. It was insane how hot it was back when I went to MK for Starlight's premier almost 2 weeks ago - and I didn't leave the house until 5:30! Most guests don't have that luxury!Last few days at the World have been brutal.
And it is filtered water. Absolutely no reason to buy bottled water at WDW although they don't exactly advertise that you can fill a cup with water for free.Who is buying bottled water? Any quick service restaurant will give you a cup of ice water.
Having heat warnings make sense. Many people aren't prepared for the combination of heat and exertion at WDW and the impact it has compared to everyday life.
On the flip side, January weather can ruin your whole trip as well. Raining and in the 30s low 40s 4 days straight on my trip this year...wasnt worth paying for AKL I can tell you! It’s the heat waves that have been coming more consistently that have people changing their plans.
You used to get a day or two that were unbearable. Now the excessive heat can ruin the entire trip.
I suspect people are staring to figure this out.
How Disney doesn't have a line of guests outside of every first aid station collapsing from heat stroke I don't know.
We experienced mid-to-upper 40's and light rain all day last January on the one full day we had for the parks. Quite possibly the most miserable weather I've had at a Disney theme park, and may have outdone the day in February 198...5... I think... where it was 49F with 20-25mph winds when we were at EPCOT Center. You don't know how bad the wind tunnel under SSE is until you've experienced it with 25mph winds and an air temp below 50F.On the flip side, January weather can ruin your whole trip as well. It’s nice that both water parks are open.I haven't even stepped out of my house to watch the fireworks in my backyard, because I get to opening the door into my garage and realize it's too bloody hot to sit outside for 20 minutes. Anything under 60 in Florida sucks…cause it’s the ONLY time the wind kicks upWe experienced mid-to-upper 40's and light rain all day last January on the one full day we had for the parks. You don't know how bad the wind tunnel under SSE is until you've experienced it with 25mph winds and an air temp below 50F.I've also experienced the heat and humidity of the summer months in the parks over my many years of visits. You can prepare for and deal with the heat, but the cold... they aren't quite as equipped for that.
One of our nicest trips was bundled up in our winter coats, hats, and gloves. The cold is fine if you have appropriate dress. The only miserable time we had was when it was cold and raining. That’s miserable.Anything under 60 in Florida sucks…cause it’s the ONLY time the wind kicks up
Luckily few and far between
I’ll pass on both…thank you very muchOne of our nicest trips was bundled up in our winter coats, hats, and gloves. The cold is fine if you have appropriate dress. The only miserable time we had was when it was cold and raining. That’s miserable.
