Here's MY suggestion for the last verse:

We have sung this song over 50 years
And each time we sing we end up in tears
'Cause the words are banal
And you're in a canal
It's a long song after all.

It's a long song on a ride
It's a long song, run and hide
It's so long that we're petrified
It's a long, long song.

New 'it's a small world' Finale Verse Debuts at Magic Kingdom with Richard Sherman's Last Verse

So, because of time zones, it debuted at WDW before DL today? I think its great for what it is and those actually listening for it. As for the average guest, they'll just hear the same repeating music over and over and over and over and over again and most likely won't even distinguish the difference in lyrics.

Wonder if this'll mean they'll fix the audio in the Oceania room.

The main IaSW track isn't on in that room. Instead you can hear the extra Oceanic-themed music loud and clear.

It's a nice break from the main track.

I hope it's never 'fixed.'

I completely forgot that today was when the update was going live, but just happened to coincidence with our one MK day.

As for the lyric updates, I thought it was very nice and catchy! Didn't notice anything was off and heard it like 6 times due to a small backup at unload.

We rode around 9:15pm tonight (walk-on w/ posted 15 mins wait), then afterwards went to the hub to watch the HEA fireworks. Shame the park closed early at 10pm tonight, but it's probably to accommodate any Starlight rehearsals later.

A Spoonful of Sherman features a completely different new verse. This new verse that Disney is touting feels corporate driven.
It was a verse that came from the man himself. They have not touched a single thing that he did to it. It's the verse as he intended. Having the original visionary behind the music return to add something to it in his own language and intention and then implementing it exactly as he wished sounds like the complete opposite of corporate drive to me.
