Apparently Disney is upgrading & testing new camera equipment for the PhotoPass CMs stationed throughout the parks.
The previous Nikon partnership ended back in 2021 supposedly, so looks like Disney is phasing out the old Nikon cameras for new Sony ones.
Currently in a test phase, but is actively being rolled out to all WDW photographers later this month to early August 2025.
As reported by BlogMickey:
The camera being utilized was a Sony A7IV, a significant step up from the Nikon D7500 camera body that is currently widely utilized around Walt Disney World.

Also confirmed to be rolling out to Disneyland too:
Edit: Didn't see a thread related to this, so decided to create one!
