Regal Eagle - Kansas City Smoked Half Chicken

The Kansas City Smokes Half Chicken is absent from the Regal Eagle mobile order options today. It had already changed, where it was being served without sauce. I hope this isn't permanent, it was the best thing on the menu.

I hate it when a return trip happens and something you loved last time is no longer available and it forces you to find another meal choice. Dis changes things up a lot and it's sad when some better tasting options leave the menus. Sometimes they will surprise you and occasionally some things will return.

I just took these screenshots - one from the app the other from the website - showing the Kansas City Smoked Half Chicken as available.

However not all menu items at WDW quick service locations are available to mobile order. The chicken seems to be one of those items you have to order from a cashier. There must be a reason for withholding some menu items from mobile order, but I have been frustrated by this procedure at other QS locations!

Never be afraid to ask a CM…there is a meal they discontinued at one of my favorite restaurants on property…I spoke to the manager and they made it for me!!! Sometimes you just have to ask…the worst they can say is no….

They did that to me at Roaring Forks in Wilderness Lodge. They discontinued the meatloaf dinner, which was our favorite. I asked the manager on duty and she said it was a popular entree. Hoping it returns.

That's interesting and gives me some hope. I didn't realize there were menu items that were sold but not available via mobile order. I'll head to EPCOT sometime this holiday weekend and get in the regular line. Fingers crossed.

just had the chicken the other night & was very disappointed. it was salty as hell. won’t be getting it again.

That is a good tip. I would worry about a smoked chicken being accommodated, considering smoking meats is a very long process. But perhaps they had smoked chicken prepared for another dish and thus available?

We mobile ordered. The only entree options on mobile order today were the half chicken, brisket sandwich and jackfruit sandwich.

We encountered that on Monday, too. When we walked in at 3:18, the lines were long and I didn’t want to wait. I hopped on the app and booked a 3:40 reservation over in Japan instead. Checked in as we walked over and were seated by 3:25. Disney pushes us to Mobile Order, but then makes it difficult. I don’t get it.

That being said, did you get to see any of the shows, @Tuvulu? We ended up not. And I’m at peace with that. Lol!

I noticed that the full menu wasn't available to mobile order on Monday either, but we didn't wait long to order at a cashier. But Regal Eagle was probably the worst meal we ate last week, the ribs were tough and barely edible. Brisket was fine but a bit chewy too. beans were OK. We did Flame Tree BBQ on Friday and the difference was huge, the rib meat there just fell off the bone.
