It's only bad if somehow you get mixed in with some big loud group of kids.. otherwise it's not that much different from Pop.

The rooms are virtually the same as pop century. The food court is physically smaller but similar. The theming is about the same - and at least has some John Hench charm to it in a few places.

The location is the biggest downside - it takes a long time to get anywhere except DAK.

I stayed there for the first time last November. I have no complaints whatsoever, not largely different from all the other Values and Moderates as far as the rooms are concerned. People mention shared buses - I never had a shared bus. People mention schoolkids - could be the time of year but this wasn't a problem at all. People mention it's a long distance from everything - actually, not bad at all, I thought Wilderness Lodge was worse in that respect. AK obviously is very close, HS and Epcot were closer than I had expected, and MK not really a huge journey either. Sports is obviously slightly closer to everwhere elese than the other All Stars. The biggest transport issue is the two or three intersections in that area, between the All Stars and Coronado Springs, you can be waiting a frustratingly long time at those lights. And price - no, none of the Disney resorts are "competitive" but you have the advantage of the location and perks such as early entry and Sports is the cheapest. If I'm looking for a budget holiday, I will certainly come back to Sports.

This wording is very confusing since it just says park reservation. Not MK. That would seemingly allow hopping.

Guess we will see…

To me the worst part is the shared buses. The resort itself is fine but the bus situation makes it a no go for me.

No problem there for me. The buses aren’t shared all the time, busy times that all usually have their own bus. When they do share sports is first pickup and drop off.

Shared busing is overblown as we’ve never experienced it in all of our years. If it does happen, it must be in the middle of the day, not peak morning/evening.

Further, since the Skyliner opened, it is common to have shared busing at Pop/AoA nowadays, especially if using busing to Epcot or DHS. The Skyliner is not available at closing of the After Hours events….we shared a bus back to Pop one After Hours night with AoA AND Caribbean Beach!

Sports is our least favorite All Star Sports, even with minimal perks, still better than offsite places …..

Request a Room in BLDG 8 or 9 Home Run and you’ll be equidistant to busing at Sports/Music, have the largest Parking area at your disposal and could use Melody Hall Food Court if you prefer…..

That way you catch the 1st bus for Sports or Music when leaving the Parks

Not sure what you've heard about it...
I've stayed at all of the Values and while POP is my favorite I'd stay at Sports any day.
Same updated rooms at a very low price in comparison. And just a nice quiet resort overall that many pass up which is fine by me.

I agree with this. ^

Buses can get a little crazy if you don't somewhat plan it out. But like every resort, (i.e. if you're at any Boardwalk resort for Gartner, or at the budgets for the cheer competitions) it could impact you if you're not prepared.

Otherwise as long as they are not raucous you should be okay. But at the end of the day it comes down to your tolerance level.

I've stayed at at the Swan during Gartner. I was okay with it. I just slightly modified a few things, stayed out of their way (they stayed out of mine). There were other guests though, that were completely losing their mind.

Buses are only shared during middle of the day, otherwise each has their own buses. All Stars also have direct bus to Blizzard Beach and don't have to transfer at AK
