That’s great. Thank you so much xThe WL has had ongoing refurbishment (no new construction) for the last two years. During that period I have had 7 stays and have not been bothered at all by any work being done.
I have a water view room booked for next month and for August and I have no plans to change resorts.
Upgraded as in category or resort change altogether? We were there in March...which was a time ago...and they were renovating a number of rooms on the upper floor with painting I believe...Luckily, we got upgraded. Hope that helps!
Well, we were concerned that they were going to bump us to a different resort because of phone call. We had never gotten a phone call from that number before...However, they upgraded us to the Yosemite Suite. I think it's called the vice presidential suite, sometimes the presidential suite. It was really a once in a lifetime experience. I know someone who is a former cast member, and she has been upgraded to a suite before at Wilderness but never that one. She goes to the Wilderness Lodge a lot. Our preference had been the Beach/Yacht because of the most wonderful pool, but wuth construction of the pool and all we chose the Wilderness. We especially love the Wilderness around Christmas time with it all decorated for Christmas, and the roaring fire in the most wonderful historic lodges they were patterned after from the West including Yellowstone and Yosemite. My wife and I have been going there for many a year. And before her my love of Disney began on a high school band trip. The team at Disney have mostly always been such an absolute delight to deal with through the years. They are oh so very nice and so hospitable.Upgraded as in category or resort change altogether?
No. Standard rooms have either a king bed or two queens. There isn’t a day bed or pull down because the rooms aren’t large enough to accommodate an extra sleeping surface. Are there three separate beds in WL water view rooms?

Just to clarify that suites are not the same as DVC villas. If you need 3 beds, I would consider renting DVC points to get a suite. We’ve used Dave’s Vacation Rental a couple of times for suites and they’ve been great. If you’re not familiar with DVC it doesn’t matter, they make the process really easy.
The studio villas at Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge don't have a 3rd bed.Just to clarify that suites are not the same as DVC villas.
And the 3rd bed in a DVC studio
Thanks. Couldn’t remember if BRV did or not, so hedged my bets! The studio villas at Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge don't have a 3rd bed.
Yes, they would need a two bedroom with a sleeper or a three bedroom. I’ll edit the original post if that’s unclear.Just to clarify that suites are not the same as DVC villas.
And the 3rd bed in a DVC studio or 1-bed villas won’t necessarily be any bigger than the other non-DVC options.
A 2-bed villa will have a king and 2 queen size beds.Yes, they would need a two bedroom with a sleeper or a three bedroom. I’ll edit the original post if that’s unclear.
Studios at Boulder Ridge have a queen, murphy queen that pulls down over the couch, and a murphy single that is in the dresser. The studio villas at Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge don't have a 3rd bed.
When will you be there in August? I am dropping my daughter off for the Disney College Program on 8/23 and will be there for the rest of the monthThe WL has had ongoing refurbishment (no new construction) for the last two years. I prefer the Brown Roof Inn I saw it referred to on a different thread.Plus the views of mariott on bay lake getting built aren’t a plus either.
