Won't be able to make it but glad to see they are bringing something extra for the festival

Some of my favorite memories are doing some of the special lunches, etc at F&W in the past

Without the demos, tastings, and special meals it really seems like the festival is a shell of its former self. I still enjoy it but miss what used to be. I recognize that the majority of visitors probably have no idea what they're missing but I always had the impression that these special events were popular (they seemed to sell out). Anyone have insight as to why they halted the special events? I thought the lack of a festival center was a hang up for a long time and was hopeful when they went out of their way to say the kitchen in Communicore Hall is outfitted with cameras, but we've seen nothing.
Same here, we used to plan coming down for the weekend from NJ just for that. Fly in Friday night, HS in the morning, F&W mid day, dinner at MK and stay till close. AK on Sunday and then to the airport.
The old festival was fun, loved the seminars and i liked how they used that pavilion between UK and Canada (after we moved to FL 15 years ago they used to do the AP preview in there). they used to have a bunch of stations in there and a good way to get out of the heat for a bit plus, the piano person playing. We did the tequila lunch too, was awesome.
I used to love the American Pavilion for wine, pay $25 and get 6 tastes of wine from all over the US. Australia used to be next to Germany and that was $20 for the tasting of 4 wines. It was a little more authentic back then with before it became a Frat right of passage. We still have fun but its changed a lot.

Thank you! I was able to make a reservation thanks to your post. I see now that it's showing "no reservations available" for all dates. Wondering if that's a glitch or they really could have sold out. 🤷‍♀️ We're excited to give it a try!

Wow, I know I haven't really done much sit down/buffets at Disney in a long time, but $65 with no actual entree style foods even?
It's definitely $$$. The announcement on instagram (text below) indicated there would be egg & cheese sandwiches as well as croque monsieurs and the croque monsieurs were in the photo on the landing page when I booked this morning (looks like the page is down now). Either way, we're so excited to have a special event back at the festival we "needed" to try it. We'll get our value in the mimosas (just a splash of OJ) and baguettes. 😂

Bonjour! You are invited to join us for a Parisian breakfast buffet as part of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival at Chefs de France located in the French Pavilion in EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort. Savor delicate smoked Salmon paired with soft Creme Fraiche, elegant fresh assortment of French pastries, croissants, pain au chocolat, and fruit Danishes. Enjoy a curated selection of fine French cheeses and artisanal cured meats, fresh fruits, a warm egg and cheese sandwich or a famous Croque Monsieur made with fresh pullmen bread. To complete the experience, sip freely on unlimited French champagne mimosas.

Wow, this really doesn't seem to make sense outside of the cash grab from Disney. You want people to get start drinking even earlier? Wait until that 5PM hour hits and we will see even more drunks walking around World Showcase. No actual entree but hey unlimited booze!

well, if you are going to "all day drink" you gotta start early ... maybe this will count for "France" for them and help space out their drinking around the world some

(personally I would just like to see them better about not serving people who appear intoxicated or even escorting them out or to a "sober up" area or something vs limiting access in general ... I think the worst offenders I have seen were from prepartying in the parking lot anyway)

I'm glad to see these are coming back. These kinds of things used to be staples at the F&W festival. You don't see them anymore until this one.

I very much hope this is the first of more to come. Some of my favorite things from the past are like the lunch pairings (the tequila lunch I did was a highlight) or drink making classes, not to mention the chef demonstrations and book signing. I know lots of people loved Party for the Senses (you'd think they'd at least bring that back to make big $)
