Don’t we all wish we had a job where knowingly outright lying that affects other people’s money had no consequences?I’m sure Disney CFO Hugh G Johnston will tell us bookings are looking strong.
$52 in the year 2001…for reference pointIs this the lowest we've seen a ticket priced at for FL residents in years, on a per day basis? Feels like it!
Actually I found lower. Apparently there was a similar deal (4 days of tickets for FL residents, but including park hopper baked in) for $99 flat in spring/summer 2001. Which works to to be a little under $180 in today's money. Assuming I'm reading this correctly, and $40 for park hopping applies for all 4 days and not charged per day, that'd make the current 4 deal with park hopper over 50% more expensive, at $155 in 2001 dollars.$52 in the year 2001…for reference point
The $99 deal was for all four days and included park hopping. They offered it again in 2003 for $109.Actually I found lower. In total, the current deal is about 36% more expensive than its 2001 equivalent. Considering we've had about 45% inflation in that period, the deal with Disney is actually undervalued relative to inflation, perhaps a sign of how desperate things have become.
You know what’s really “rare”?Very rare! Disney has rarely ever offered 2-day tickets for FL residents! Normally, a FL RES 3-day ticket was similar to the cost of a 2-day ticket/
Clowns with no dignity and low work ethic?Great . Now the local vlogger "celebrities" will be crowding the parks more than ever![]()
