Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT Gets New Textured Concrete in Ongoing Refurbishment

If I were ever to become a park VP my first action would be to create a comfort council that would go through each area and add things like this. I drives me crazy seeing guests having to sit on railings or in the ground and have nowhere to relax and get shadeWhile this is a very minor project, it's nice they're working on improving walkways throughout the parks now. Those bare one-color walkways are not ideal.
I do hope one day they can work on adding more shade into World Showcase with seating areas. There are a few spaces between pavilions I'd fit them in.
This is what I am imagining in John Hench-style concept art of an official EPCOT Center Comfort Council visit to one of the pavilions:If I were ever to become a park VP my first action would be to create a comfort council that would go through each area and add things like this. Agree. I think improving the guest experience should be a priority that can be done relatively quickly. If I were ever to become a park VP my first action would be to create a comfort council that would go through each area and add things like this. People who are sitting comfortably around the lagoon aren't in restaurants and shops buying food and junk...How Epcot doesn't have more bar tables and indoor/shaded seating is wild to me.
Epcot desperately needs more seating areas in world showcase. The amount of people I see eating on top of trash cans is absurd. And speaking more selfishly I’m tired of they’re only being cheap metal tables that there’s only an handful of at every pavilion are always taken and on the rare occasion I do get one they are always dirty. Completely agree, it continues to get worse all the time it seems like. All the pavilions use to have benches throughout, I think the UK is the only one left with some anymore. I know you were referring to tables and not benches but either way its bad. I wont even start on their problems with the bakery and ice cream shop in the back of France. All that merch could easily be stashed elsewhere, that entire room should be all the tables at this point, its ridiculous. Its terrible seeing people having to sit on the hard concrete in the sun to eat and drink.Epcot desperately needs more seating areas in world showcase. Germany still has benchs. We use those whenever we stop for fondue. As for France completely agree. On the flower and garden start date we hid in there from the rain and it was very crowded and people were eating on the merch stands and I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the real food and the fake food they had as theming.Completely agree, it continues to get worse all the time it seems like. Really love this idea. And the area could be sealed off when not in use. This does go a bit Blue Sky... but I think Epcot's festivals have become so popular over the years that they're starting to hinder the experience.
It's as easy as creating dedicated festival areas that are away from main pathways to reduce congestion and add seating. (Essentially more areas like the booths featured between Morocco & France, by Imagination and Canada, etc.)
Something like this for example: View attachment 854499
