News New Costumes for Walt Disney World Custodial Cast Members

Finally, They are ditching the White pants. That was such a pain in the butt. I lost count of how many times I had to go swap costumes mid shift because a bag broke open or some other non sense. There were also multiple instance of cast being sent home because their undergarments had hearts or something on them that was visible. I can't say I'm a huge fan of the long sleeves however as it's occasionally hot out in Florida. (that's sarcasm)

From a logistical perspective it makes sense, but the old uniforms looked a little nicer. I think. I'm not sure what the word to really use is. The blue accents don't work for me for some reason.

The only nitpick I have is the hat should also have the sweeper Mickey.

I think the white helped them blend in everywhere better. This looks more blatantly out of place in most areas. It looks like it belongs in The Seas.

Any hints on what else is changing? A couple off the top of my head that have been around the longest are probably Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, and then a lot at grand Floridian and the all stars

Pop Century has a few that haven't changed since it opened. Granted that isn't exactly crazy long, but it is pretty darn close.

Pop opened in late 2003, so yeah, that is a very long time to not change the uniforms.

Is it? Custodial and Parking hasn’t changed for a crazy long time. Not sure if those changes are necessary but the new custodial looks nice to me and is not what I would consider a downgrade like some other updates.

Pop Century has a few that haven't changed since it opened. Granted that isn't exactly crazy long, but it is pretty darn close.

Which ones? Merchandise, FB and housekeeping have all been replaced. I think the only ones that are still original are front desk.

To me, the new uniforms look really good. That stark white uniform make them stand out and it screamed don't look at me I'm just a lowly janitor. These give a little dignity to the people that keep the place looking good. The only negative comment I have is what I hope is just an accident in available items to show. Those shorts on the guy look like "pedal pushers" of the past and are ugly. I hope they actually have better designed look in mind because I wouldn't wear something like that in public at gunpoint.

There was a story of Walt and his wife. His wife was questioning Walt on building amusement parks his wife telling him saying they are so filthy. Walt told his wife - “ Mine won’t be “. The custodial team do a great and at times thankless job.

I don't mind the shirts and pants, but those gold spike heels are going to be hell to walk around the parks in.
