I will definitely miss Shula's. It has a fun backstory, great service and solid food. I do think this is an upgrade, and Mina will give Marriott greater pull with conventions. I've been to a few of his places in Vegas, and I know Bourbon generally has a pretty good reputation at the other locations.

Does anyone know... is additional dining in-scope for the convention expansion? Or, do they feel the current offerings (which are arguably some of the best on property) are sufficient? The announcement didn't say anything beyond the convention expansion itself.

Bourbon Steak is a very good restaurant and we've frequented the Aventura location multiple times.

Same target demographic. Someone willing to pay $25 for a slice of cake will pay $78 for a nekkid filet.

From the convention perspective its an even wider demo. How many of those $78 filet's are going to be paid for by expense accounts vs people having to shell out the bill.

I'm guessing sous vide. That still has a "modern fancy vibe" about it for some people.
