So they have actually heard guests telling them planning a trip is too complicated? And they’re “ready to act on it”?

Yet all they do is make it worse. Sure they cut ADRs from 180 to 60 days. But then made the “fastpass” system a whole lot more complex, with constant changes. Decide what the system is and stick with it ffs. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

They talk about trialing scheduled character appearances at resorts. Well guess what, Paris have characters at every resort, every day for an hour or more at a time. Just make that standard. Characters in the lobby at 8-9, 12-1 & 5-6 every day.

And as for the push for young kids…. 🙄
I think there are at least 4 (?) different offers on for the summer: room discounts, kids half price, discounted tickets, free dining.

How are parents supposed to work out which works out cheapest? I know that’s why they have so many offers, but if they really wanted to get families there then make sure that the main family deal really is cheapest. Otherwise guests feel cheated.

FWIW, I believe a room discount plus discounted 3 park, 3 day tickets plus a 1day ticket to MK is actually the cheapest for a family of 4 this summer. (Courtesy of forum members on Touring Plans).

My venting is done.

Even tho it was a panel idk why anyone would assume this is anything but a puff piece. We now have (very very very) small improvements being made post COVID and now there’s investment in maintenance like BTMR and Buzz that’s worth highlighting. Not sure why anyone would expect them to openly admit to poor choices or criticizing themselves.

Also I’d guess big ticket issues we care about like LL decisions are made way above their heads

What a bunch of......one of them stated "that's why Disney formed a dedicated Customer Experience team during the pandemic—because guest feedback made it clear that booking and planning had become too complicated.

you wouldn't have needed that whole team if you had not made it so complicated, duh. These people need to get their heads out of their whatever and get their rumps on site and try and experience the mess for themselves, absolutley clueless people running the place. I bet they haven't stepped foot in the parks.

Virtually every decision that Disney has made since 2020 has adversely impacted the guest experience. This "panel" is unlikely to change that. Actions speak louder than empty words, Disney.
Correct, but instead of actually doing something, they will gaslight and deflect to make it seem like "They care" and "They're relatable" and "They want to help make things better". It's about as real as the animals on the Jungle Cruise.

Wow. If you wanted a definition of "out of touch", "delusional", and "out of touch, delusional MBA's in action", look no further than that motley crew. Holy hell.

Kind of odd to hear them talk about the Disney Bubble when many decisions over the last several years eroded the bubble. Magical Express, airline check-in, etc.
They don't even know what most people considered the "Disney bubble" (Hint: It doesn't start once you enter your resort). If you can't get that correct, you've lost before you even started.

This comes across as a pile of marketing bovine excrement disguised as "executives who get it". Treat it as such.

If only this was actually true for most people.
I'm doing my part, but I'm only one person, and we're only one family:

One WDW trip for my wife for a RunDisney event (no park days planned), one 3-night DL trip for my wife for a RunDisney event, and zero WDW or DL trips planned after that.

Me? Zero US park trips currently booked or planned from now through 2030. I have one and hopefully two international park trips in the (very) early stages of being planned a few years out.

But 1/3 of park guests haven't seen Pandora!!! Think of little Johnny and Suzie and how devastated they will be if mom and dad don't drop $6-8k on a WDW trip to finally see Pandora!!!
