I hope at least some things rolled out for CKS stick around long term ... Feels like bringing back the type of thing that makes Disney special
Because those other, more cramped parks aren’t the most attended theme park in the world and have a guest base primarily of locals rather than MK’s out of towners. You just can’t approach MK the same you do the others. Why don’t they replace attractions with the same frequency in their other, more cramped parks?
The problem is you’re running around the forums pushing back against people who have also made their choices simply because you don’t agree with them. You mean the underutilized space they just built? What I want is something Disney will not provide. Also, "core memories" is an overused term, and also not something I would apply to this particular event.
Yes, well, at least my two children...and my nieces, nephews, etc.
Have they? You mean the ones I am not fond of either?
I am already on record stating that Disney has taken a path that I do not like or support. Which is fine. They made choices, and so have I.
I took the argument “against” these things to be, “Okay, but what else? This should be the norm, not a special event.”Really don’t know how people can look at this and not see it as an absolute positive. This kinda thing is gonna stick with those kids. May even be the highlight of some of them’s vacation.
The continued pushback from people on here on all this stuff is genuinely confusing.
Uhh...this is a forum...debate and disagreements will happen and will be voiced. The problem is you’re running around the forums pushing back against people who have also made their choices simply because you don’t agree with them.
Like has been said, not everyone is going to like everything. If you and your kids don’t like these offerings for the summer, that’s fine! But that does not give you or anyone else permission to bristle against anyone who doesn’t feel the same which is the route so many of you all have taken with this.
It’s like you all are actively upset that children are enjoying themselves at Disney.
Personally, while I may find some of it cringey (GoofyCore) I agree there should be more interactions like these. Playing a game with Rapunzel and Flynn is that “Disney Magic” many of us lament the loss of in recent years. I hope these unscheduled interactions continue.Really don’t know how people can look at this and not see it as an absolute positive. This kinda thing is gonna stick with those kids. May even be the highlight of some of them’s vacation.

You do realize that you can state an opinion and listening to the opinions of others and have a conversation about the similarities and differences without arguing, right?Uhh...this is a forum...debate and disagreements will happen and will be voiced.
Somehow this doesn't seem right...GRAB-N-GOOF Opens at EPCOT
Certainly. You do realize that you can state an opinion and listening to the opinions of others and have a conversation about the similarities and differences without arguing, right?
School starts back in many places in mid-August. Maybe that.On another anecdotal note, we saw very few young kids in the park. My youngest is 4 and at times we felt almost odd about having her, everyone touring seemed to be adults or have bigger kids.
That’s great. We saw some characters riding Dumbo once and Stitch was out in Tomorrowland briefly. I think that was it though. Glad y’all have better luck than we did! I do hope they keep it goingTo follow up, we just got back and loved the extra character interactions. It was noticeable in the parks (any cool kid stuff at the hotel wasn’t noticeable or often enough to enjoy). All parks except AK, had noticeable increase in characters out and about engaging with guests. My kids played jumped rope with Donald, limbo with Goofy, walked like a cowboy with Jesse. It felt like we were in the early 2000s. We walked into Mickey and Minnie at Epcot and got pictures with both together with no crowds. At MK, characters were all over Fantasyland in the morning. Loved seeing Minnie and Mickey ride the carousel. Hopefully this becomes more of the norm because it really added to the trip.
Ya it seemed to be that extra morning half hour for lots of them kind of in the streets. Whereas the games kind of were ongoing. I forgot to mention that we even walked up to Bruno and Mirabel in Epcot in the morning and no one else was around so they doted on the kids. It shocked me because I remember skipping their meet at the Halloween party last year the line was so long. That’s great. We saw some characters riding Dumbo once and Stitch was out in Tomorrowland briefly. I think that was it though. Glad y’all have better luck than we did! I do hope they keep it going
Ya we usually go after the 10th but this year got down the 5th so we were right on the cusp. But even our nonstops from Providence had less people in family boarding. In fact MCO was the least crowded I have ever seen it. Walked right through security at 11am.School starts back in many places in mid-August. Maybe that.
How dare you not advocate block pricing being steep paywalls?I took the argument “against” these things to be, “Okay, but what else? This should be the norm, not a special event.”
