Thanksgiving Week Strategy

My husband and I have been to Disney World when we were younger, but will be our first time as adults and the first time for our daughter (13). We will be in Orlando for another event and have decided to do Disney while there. Dates will have to be the week of Thanksgiving and I'm aware it is a busy time.

Any particular suggestions for order of visiting parks? We will have 5 days for Disney and plan to do a park each day and water park (weather permitting) on the 5th day. The days we have for Disney are the Saturday before Thanksgiving and Monday through Thanksgiving Day. I am thinking:

Saturday: Magic Kingdom; Monday: Water Park (day after our event); Tuesday: Hollywood; Wednesday: Epcot; Thanksgiving: Animal Kingdom.

I have no real preference of order, this was a first shot at tentatively planning! Any suggestions appreciated!

Magic Kingdom is always its busiest on the Weekend and Mondays. We were at WDW the week of Thanksgiving last year and it wasnt too crowded.

Are you staying offsite?

If so then maybe swap DHS for MK on the Saturday, to avoid the weekend crowds at MK (I would also avoid Epcot on the Saturday).

If staying onsite then you would get a free water park visit for your check-in day, which is why I asked.
