Why did Disney want these places out?

That’s what puzzles me too. Fair enough if they have plans to use the space, but to just have them sit empty isn’t a good look. And if they do have plans then get cracking on them asap after the former inhabitants leave.

Yeah they need to start bringing late night evening entertainment back. Me and some friends went to Disney springs recently and around 10:30pm we were like let’s go grab some drinks. Disney springs closes at 11pm!! not cool at all.

Head to Universal Resorts. Many of the hotel bars and lounges serve till 2am and have live entertainment. Loews understands how to run hotels. Room service was nice too. As was daily housekeeping. And turn down service!

No news as of yet for real, but it will be this autumn! (and not at WDW, but close)

Sad to see Jellyrolls close and leave Disney property. While there's an opportunity to go to dueling piano bars in other places, this spot was special. Hearing 'Rainbow Connection' and 'We Go On' on the piano late night at Disney World (with a drink or two in hand) was awesome.

I wouldn't rule out maybe Hamlin, Kissimmee, or even Winter Garden (or further out), depending on how close close is and how much they can afford.

I don't think downtown Orlando is close to WDW. Margaretttaville and Citywalk already have piano bars. Maybe I Drive.

I was lucky enough to have my only visit to Jellyrolls in 2023, and had a very fun night. Having this style bar on property was a massive win for Disney Guests. I typically rent a car when doing my Orlando vacations, but being in the "Disney Bubble" for a late night out at the Boardwalk just seemed very easy & safe. Hopefully another attraction at night for adults is lined up for the venue...

Jelly Rolls and some lounging at Dance Hall was not a bad time on the CP or in my 30s.
And I don't even drink alcohol.

My wife and I did our 25th wedding anniversary at Jelly Rolls. The staff made it a lot of fun!

My question is, do we even think there's a concerted effort from Disney to get rid of nightlife past about midnight or so? Or is there a more likely explanation in the fact that they just don't care enough to invest in it or find tenants who will support it...
