One Day Park Hopper - I'm Clueless!

Hello everyone....

I am planning a very quick trip down to Orlando to celebrate my 69th Birthday in March. I have been to WDW many times, but not since they did away with the free Fast Passes. I have a few things I want to ride since they are new to me. If I can ride anything else, it's just gravy. I want to see:

1. The New Star Wars Land at the Studios and ride the two rides.
2. Ride the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster at EPCOT
3. I would like to ride Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT, but if that doesn't happen, I'm OK with it.

I plan on starting the morning at the Studios at 9 when the park opens (via UBER), and heading over to EPCOT via the Skyliner around noonish and staying as late as necessary. I would like to see Luminous but I'm worried about getting an UBER back to offsite accommodations after the show when everyone else is trying to leave.

Can you help me by telling me what I need to buy on the App and when I need to buy it (other than the one day park hopper ticket). For example, if I need to buy access to one of the rides above, do I do it when I enter that park or earlier? It's all very confusing for me and since this is a one day trip that won't be repeated until the grandchildren are old enough to travel with us, I'd like to get it right.

I am very appreciative of any help.

Sounds like a fun day. Two of the rides you want to go on (RotR and GotG) are not part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass system, so this would probably not be the best use of your money (it is the closest equivalent of the old FastPass.) If you want to, however, you can purchase Lighting Lane Single Passes for these two attractions. If you choose to buy these, you can, and should, do it three days before your park day since you are staying off-site.

I would try to get to the Studios as early as possible so at rope drop at 9am, you can already be in the park and on your way to your first ride. If you buy a Single Passes for Rise, I would go to Smuggler's Run first and then use your Single Pass for RotR after. Smuggler's Run has a single rider line, but I would not use it on your first trip, because it skips the pre-show that sets up the experience. You should then have plenty of time for one or two other attractions at the Studios before noon. It sounds like Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad and the newest scenes at Star Tours might be new to you.

At Epcot, use your LL Single Pass at Guardians and then head over and wait on the regular line for Remi. Please note that there is no standby line for Guardians. If you do not buy the Single Pass, you will need to enter the virtual queue in the afternoon. It can be tricky for a first timer so look it up in advance so you know what to expect. At the end of the day after Luminous, you are right, there will be a lot of people leaving using ride share, so take your time exiting. Enjoy the ambiance of the park as the crowds thin out before you head out. There should be plenty of cars available.

If you choose not to purchase the Single Passes, you will still have plenty of time to go on your four rides, you will just have a longer wait for Rise and will have to deal with the virtual queue for Guardians.

Good luck and have fun!
