We typically fly into MCO and use mears, however I’m july i am looking at flying into Sanford because the flight times we would get there at 12pm and leave at 12pm which gives us more time both ways. It’s my husband and I with our 5 and 6 year old. I believe the 6 year old does not need a car seat but the 5 year old does. I looked into Uber and it says there is an Uber with 1 car seat about an hour away each time I look. Has anyone had issues with this? I don’t Uber often so it makes me anxious not having a preset shuttle service (and from what I see most are very expensive to get private transfer). I’m not looking to rent a car.

I have another option to fly into MCO but on the way out our flight is at 7am and mears typically picks up around 4-430am. Our other option gives us time for breakfast since we are staying club level.

Do I need to be anxious about the Uber + car seat reliability? Is there an affordable private transfer that’s less than $300 round trip?

My wife and I are also flying into Sanford with a 7 and 3 year old in April. Sanford was way cheaper than MCO. Our arriving and departing flights both leave early in the AM. We looked into many options. An Uber with a car seat looked like it would be pushing $100 each time and with tip on top of that, I figured on probably $250 total. Well, I found a rental car for the week for $270. So we are doing that. That way there are no concerns about getting a ride and being timely. You can check a car seat for free so we will probably buy a cheap Costco car seat for the trip.

Thank you! The flights to MCO and Sanford are the same price for us. I’ll have to look into the car rentals!
