It might have something to do with light and noise. I know when I worked at coral reef we had sensors to make sure our lights were off overnight for the fish to “sleep”. Maybe with the refurb work going on they can’t work overnight and need more time?

I believe this is more of a cost-cutting measure during slow season, rather than any indication of an impending change. Even during moderate periods of visitation, The Seas has relatively low foot traffic towards the end of the day compared to the rest of the park, even attractions in the area formerly known as Future World.

At first I was surprised Nemo was closing early and not figment... However, the seas pavilion needs a whole lot more staff than the imagination pavilion

Probably just cost-cutting. It was probably a ghost town after 7pm anyway. Though I haven't been there since 2017 and have seen no data. Just guessing.

It is unclear whether this change is a seasonal adjustment due to lower guest demand in the evenings or if it is to accommodate ongoing work at the pavilion.

Probably to raise the park's GSATs, like with removing Stitch's Great Escape!

It’s sad Disney continues to charge more and more while having less hours, attraction uptime, basic maintenance around the parks, offerings they once had in general (ex. magical express, free magic bands, etc etc). The trends are painful to see for us long time fans

We have been getting more DVC resorts, lounges, after hours events, popcorn buckets, cupcakes, and loungefly backpacks though. Hooray!

Disney makes a ton of money now through LLs they once didn’t, so where is it all going? Paying for bad movie decisions, bad park decisions (harmonious destruction, Epcot lights or TBA animatronics that don’t work?) cruise ships, E-suite bonuses, etc?
