You know what's sad? Looking at those photos, I have absolutely no idea where in the Emporium this is. The "front" portion across from the candy shop, perhaps? I used to be able to know a section by the decor and aesthetics. Now, with everything being turned into "bland, contemporary mall store"...
Agree, I think this is the back half towards casey's

Kinda repeating myself from the Screen Door thread, but the same thing feels wrong with the merchandise displays where there are just a few floating around at weird angles, making the space feel empty. I feel like there should be a single, grander display wherever they have the groupings of four.
I think they are locked into these portable displays rather than construct any permanent ones. Gives them flexibility and they don't have to replace the flooring if they change the display up.

Anything to homogenize the spaces

All of these different merchandise displays are modular. No reason a larger fixture couldn’t be designed and even be modular for ease of movement and even reconfiguration.

How do California, Paris and Tokyo get Main Street interiors better than the BIGGEST Castle park. But I will say Paul Pressler ruined the emporium 25 years ago with closing West Street and adding that Annex building. It became a generic Macys that year and has never recovered.

I am ( foolishly) hoping accents, art, decor is added overnight once all these renovation phases are complete. Anything to help the painfully bland interiors.

Anything to alleviate the doublewide stroller roadblocks.

Customers ruin it. You can barely move inside so no one can actually purchase merchandise during parades, rain, and fireworks.

It's been 10 yrs. since I have been to WDW, but I remember (I thought) this location was more crowded with racks,,, but I guess I am remembering wrong. I hope there is a smooth transition from each different floor type.
