After walking the store this evening it doesn’t look bad in person. The only thing I would have done is add wallpaper to the wall instead of just paint. But doesn’t look terrible in person.

After they announced the paving over of the Rivers of America last year I said to myself that my upcoming September trip would be my farewell trip.

Not to blow my own trumpet but everything I’m seeing coming out of the parks makes that decision seem even more correct.

I think that was two versions ago, based on the CM costume in the photo. I think that central cash desk was taken out quite a while back.

Ah alright, I'm trying to figure out what it did look like. I was going to say, it looks better than this previous one at least.

It all screams "turn Of the century department store".....but the wrong century....
I will the original Emporium which still felt late Victorian with a lot of whimsical details....but that was so long ago now....It really is a shame they can't put in the DLP Arcades and then allow these different sections to play as separate shops....

I’m guessing this is being done to facilitate flow once the night time parade starts, as you said they should build proper arcades instead of turning the shops into arcades themselves

It really is a shame they can't put in the DLP Arcades and then allow these different sections to play as separate shops....

I mean, they can, they just don't. They'd honestly be great not only for general traffic flow but also for adding dessert party check-in and reception space to completely free Tomorrowland Terrace up again for actual dining.

Why can't they use the TomorrowLand bypass, instead? Open it up every night and people still have an easy way to get out of the park without having to cross the parade route.

Exactly. This at least still has theming and feels appropriate. The Emporium just looks like any other boring sterile retail store. It is inexcusable and sadly, they seem intent on destroying the parks.

I didn’t get pictures but some of the tile is already completely cracked. Must be some cheap tile they put in. Didn’t even last 2 weeks.
