Most Memorable/Infamous Threads

I am coming up on my 10th year as part of the WDW Magic forums, and as such, I have seen and been a part of many threads over that time.
For any long time members, what is the most memorable or infamous threads that you have seen and/or participated in? For me, the first and easiest thread that would probably be on alot of people's lists is the one and only post from everyone's favorite Disney Karen, katiebug. Another one for me would be the thread regarding the gator attack at the GF on the young boy-that thread got very intense and polarizing at times. Another more lighthearted thread would be the one involving everyone's favorite piece of construction/maintenance equipment, the Rise Of Ladder.

One of my all time favorites is the Spaceship in Spaceship Earth thread in the News and Rumors section! A fun one that I sometimes participate in is Where in the World.

I remember a thread where you were challenged to post a picture of a character that hadn't already been posted in the thread. Different costumes were allowed, but no complete duplicates. That meant you had to look at every post before posting, something a lot of people are not patient enough to do!

Where In The World can be expert level sometimes. "Here's a picture of the corner of one brick-where is it?" 😄
As a regular participant in that thread, I find them awesome…the only thing I think they should keep it to the parks only, not the resorts because not everyone has been to all the resorts…restaurants and DS is fair play too!!
And keep it to WDW too…

There was a thread. A very short lived thread where the OP suggested Animal Kingdom be turned into a game preserve. As bad as the idea was it got progressively worse once you realized that his thread also included a loose interpretation of his accompanying business plan.

The second was one where we (all members of this board) were accused of being a cult. All the way down to a secret handshake we used when identifying ourselves to other members while in the parks.

There are others. But those two immediately come to mind.

For laughs it just has to be KatieBug.

But the Skyliner thread was epic.

Starting with how very clever minds pieced together permits to come up with a gondola transportation system and the route.

Take a bow @danlb_2000 , @P_Radden and others.

Then @Lift Blog appeared to become the forum’s engineering expert.

Lastly of course we had people spontaneously combusting due to a lack of air conditioning; being eaten by gators as the gondola cars dangled over the lake and all manner of fates awaiting anyone who dared to board a cabin.

Wow, I had forgotten about the Skyliner thread. Never a dull moment in that thread. I seem to remember concerns about Reedy Creek FD not being able to rescue people stranded over water or trees, and that they should have water and emergency rations onboard every pod. And I believe after the Skyliner opened and that crash happened at one of the stations, people were insisting that you would be taking your life into your hands when you boarded.
