The Disney patent is for a “rider-controlled amusement park ride” with a force sensor in the vehicle that guests can activate. By leaning forward or otherwise applying pressure, guests would be able to adjust the vehicle’s position or speed in real-time. The figure shows a Soarin’-esque hang-glider vehicle but the technology could be incorporated into other types of vehicles.
