At the Center For Puppetry Arts in Georgia, they had a special Fraggle rock experience, another wonderful Jim Henson creation, a time ago and Sesame Street Live. At one time, I was going to take a tour that was at the Muppet Studios, Disneyland etc. but unfortunately I did not...

We went to say goodbye to Muppetvision today. It was absolutely packed. There were lots of chuckles during the preshow and lots of reactions from the audience during the show itself. There was a whole group of children on the side that were very actively engaged, pointing and whatnot.

There were many young children in the audience, including a 3 year-old girl next to me who was enthralled and pointing out everything to her dad, and a 6 year-old next to my friend whose mom was clearly loving his reaction to the show.

In general, the crowd really seemed to enjoy it, and I heard another person complaining to their friend (who was seeing it for the first time) that it was being ‘torn down’ soon.

Bean’s curtain was working just fine, as far as I could tell.

I actually cried a little, in the middle. It’s the last thing I did on my first trip with my parents that remains completely unchanged, and one of the highlights of that and every one after.

As someone with inner ear issues who has no interest in Star Wars, with it gone, there’s nothing left at Hollywood Studios I can do, except for a few shows i don’t care about.

It’s so sad, because it was my favorite park in my teens and twenties 😔

I feel the same way. I loved going to DHS for citizens of Hollywood, muppets, catastrophe canyon and later comedy warehouse.

The problem with most of the new attractions is they aren’t repeatable like muppets etc. - if I didn’t ride the millennial falcon again for the rest of my life I could care less. I rode it a few times, it’s fun. But that’s it.

In fairness, a lot of people don’t find MuppetVision repeatable either (I am not one of these people, but several members of my family are). Whereas I know people who ride Falcon or Mania over and over to try to top their high score.

I think the main thing hurting the repeatability of new rides are the wait times. I don’t do Slinky every time because I don’t want to wait over an hour for a family coaster. I do MuppetVision because it rarely has a wait before the next show.
