Salute to the pre-show. I think a lot of people have great memories here. One of those quintessential WDW experiences.

It’s sad that a 35 year old Disney park is still so short on rides they can’t close one down without it severely affecting capacity, my local park, that’s open for half the year and ran by a private family with limited resources, somehow manages to add a new ride every year or 2 but Disney (with nearly unlimited resources) can only manage a new ride every 5-10 years.

Once the backlot tour and lights camera action were replaced, HS sealed its fate in that regard. The only reason Indy still exists has got to be because of its people eater status.

which is why I wouldn't rule out an announcement for its replacement soon after the AK opening

It's quite a bit nicer than a "painted wall". I can understand not liking the timing of it, but let's not be disingenuous, it's tiring.

But as a lifelong Aerosmith fan…I can say I’m ok with it going

Always thought that half their songs talk about little girls and what “daddy” says about it a “coincidence”…

We have the 1 in DAK

We're getting that whole giant coaster in the back of the Monsters Inc land. I'm not happy at all about the Monsters land but there is a brand new attraction there (that people will unfortunately eat up).

Magic Kingdom is getting two attractions in it's Cars area to make up for Tom's and the Riverboat, plus a whole new land behind it replacing nothing.

And as long as its reskins and replacements…the goal is to keep the upsell pressure up as opposed to making the day better for all customers…

Just the facts as they are.

Here’s where we stand on the actual count to things to enter a line for since 2000:

Studios +2? I think?
Dak +3 after dinoland reopens
Epcot -1
MK +1

That’s just the thing…the two major problems they deal with in wdw

1. Price
2. Capacity

Not really. Dinoland had three attractions (four if you count the Boneyard), and the land they're replacing it with three attractions. Primeval Whirl closing years earlier doesn't really change that.

A 2 min off the shelf coaster vs a 7 min dark ride is hardly a 1:1 replacement.

completely agree, and I think we can both appreciate what was and look forward to what's next and hope it blows us all away

Now, I do really wish they would do something with that area, my personal thought is an Incredibles or Big Hero 6 Attraction (although I would go Incredibles here and Big Hero in Epcot)
