I’ll bet you any amount of money that she’s one of the “stars” who interacts with the Muppets in the ride pre show.

That stand is so generic I don't think it will be a problem, especially since they're retheming the city area into a city. Call it Monster Bites, slap a sign somewhere that says something like "special: 10% off for each head you have!" and it's good to go.

At this point in their history I’d argue the Muppets have more fans over 48 inches than they do below.

This is what scares me a little. Barely visable street signs excluded, there are no sets on this ride to re-theme (as they did well with Frozen). The star of Rock n' Roller Coaster is the Rock n' Roll, which is so conducive to a thrill ride - down to Steven Tyler's vocal countdown.

Muppets are good if you can use them to their stregths, which to me are their humor and some classic tamer music like Rainbow Connection - not sure this ride system is fitting here. Reminds me a bit of the Splash drop feeling out of place with Tiana's Disney Junior style narritive.

The movie is still good overall, but why is a theme park showing a movie that is over 30 years old?

Because it's a timeless classic, and fulfills a critical need in the park of a place you can always get into without a lengthy wait and enjoy the best theme park 3D show in AC!

Disney singlehandedly keeps the 3D parody concept relevant. So long as they continue to run shows like PhilharMagic or something in the Magic Eye Theater, the joke still works even if you're too young to remember the 3D craze.

The ridiculous thing is that with the death of this and It's Tough to be a Bug, they're killing the impressive 3D shows that had animatronics and unique live effects (showcasing Disney taking a concept and elevating it) and leaving the more mundane ones.

That was my thought too…. Muppets and Tough to be a bug bridge the gap and have elements like tiki room and country bears that make me want to revisit more than other 3d shows.

Go over to Universal and type in 902 to the secret rip ride rockit song list (push and then hold the Rockit logo on the pad wait 5 -10 seconds to bring up a number keypad.) and you get "Rainbow Connection", go ahead and prepare yourself for the ride that way. (901 is moving right along)

On no. We've got a trip booked for August and it will be my 7 year old daughter's first trip when she could have ridden RNRC. She is absolutely fearless and she has been counting the days. She's wanted to ride for years.

I'm assuming the ride will be closed for refurbishment.

I'm seriously rethinking next Summer's trip now. There is going to be so much shut. BTMRR, Dinosaur, RNRC, possibly still Test Track.

We are committed to flights now and I never thought I'd say this but I'm wondering if we should pivot to Universal instead.

I have no idea what the timeline will be on this (which I agree is really annoying), but one thing to consider is that the Zootopia show at Animal Kingdom was announced in Sept 2023, and ITTBAB still hasn't closed yet. So there is hope for your August trip!
