We have a trip booked with dining. We want to add one more night, but if we do that it adds dinning plans cost as well. We will fly out that morning, so do not want to add dinning and it would add $1,000 to our part of six . We want to move to a good neighbor hotel that has good reliable park shuttle so we can shuttle to MK then to Wilderness Lodge for our goodbye breakfast, our tradition. Has anyone stayed at a good neighbor hotel? Prefer Marriott because we have points but does not have to be Marriott.
Thanks so much!!

Truly, the marriott swan reserve gets excellent ratings, and is walking distance from Epcot and Hollywood Studios, or just a short boat ride. I posted on this oh so wonderful hotel awhile back, but I've never been there. Gets great reviews:

If you stay there, Shula's steakhouse is a must have if you like steak. Also, cape may is a great restaurant at the Disney /Yacht Club for any and every meal. Their seafood buffet is so delectable and so delightful. Also, their character buffet is wonderful in the morning, even for kids at heart like me as an adult. Take care and have a Happy Disney trip and a wonderful rest of the week.

I love the Swan Reserve and I've stayed there twice. If you are looking for something a little easier on the wallet, you might like the Renaissance Lake Buena Vista/Disney Springs. I stayed at the Renaissance on Hotel Plaza Blvd last month, we had to stay here because my husband was at a conference at Coronado Springs and this hotel fit into his per diem. It used to be the B Resort. Even my brother stayed there when he had to evacuate for Hurricane Milton. lol There is motor coach service from the hotel to the parks. If you are going to MK, you will be dropped off at TTC, but you would if you were staying at the SR, too. NGL, I love the SR, but for one night, the Ren is a better value.

You could probably just book an extra night at the Disney hotel and either move rooms or request to keep the same room. Just don’t extend the entire package.

For any of the on-property but non-Disney options, be sure to add in the cost of of resort fees and parking fees if applicable.

Swan & Dolphin are mariott properties so that could work out nicely for you.

of course if you stayed at one of the mariott property’s at Flamingo Crossings you could just Uber to wilderness lodge and still save money vs. swan and dolphin.

Don’t forget that most Good Neighbor shuttles will drop you off at the TTC. You will need to factor in that time into your travel plans. Depending on what time your breakfast reservations are, you might get caught up in the entrance crowd to get to the MK.

yes, that can definitely be a bummer sometimes...we were staying at a good neighbor one time and they dropped us off at the boat launch...we were like, where is the MK???

If you stay at one of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, you can walk to Disney Springs and take the bus directly to the Wilderness Lodge, provided your breakfast reservation is after DS opens.
I think Disney Springs opens at 10:00 right now. Since the access is controlled now, if they open the actual gates at 10:00 you wouldn’t get to the bus stop until 10:10/10:20. Probably pretty late for getting to a breakfast reservation.

You can walk to Saratoga Springs and catch a bus to MK and then a boat to Wilderness Lodge.

I would just book a 1-night stay at the same resort where you have the package. Then have each reservation noted as "continuing xxx" with the other reservation number. Hopefully you can even stay in the same room that last night. Just be aware you cannot use any dining credits for your breakfast at WL.

We really like staying in the Flamingo Crossing area. Great idea

we stayed at a Good Neighbor Hotel for our last night to avoid additional dining plan costs. We recommend the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orlando at Flamingo Crossings or Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Orlando at Flamingo Crossings for their reliable park shuttles and excellent amenities. Both hotels offer free shuttles to the parks, making it easy to get to Magic Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge for your goodbye breakfast. If you're open to other options, the Holiday Inn Orlando - Disney Springs Area and Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace are also great choices. Enjoy your trip!
