You also don't have a fridge to put it in if you are staying on property, cause, Dinsey. In looking at the offerings of the Cake Bake Shop, I so not see it as a casual drop in as park of your park touring day, I see that cake and I imagine I want to take a nap after eating that sugar/calorie filled cake.
The cake does not travel well so you cant purchase, and eat it later.
I see the Cake Bake Shop as for folks staying in the resorts on the boardwalk, pick up a slice and end of day, and bring it back to the room to split for a snack before bed.
I may be wrong, but I do not see this making it after the newness wares off.
As I said in my past posts, I give the Cake Bake Shop a year and a half.
If one can spend $500 or more per night at Boardwalk perhaps Disney thinks they will drop $26 for a slice of cake before bedtime?Absolutely agree. $25 for a slice of cake makes this place DOA. Even if they were to lower the price by half, it will always be remembered as the overpriced cake place. Remember Ruby Tuesdays? They had one item on their menu that was 2200 cal and they got the reputation for having unhealthy food. They immediately took that item off and added in lower calorie items, but it was too late. Initial impressions are hard to shake.
Plus, it’s almost impossible to park at the Boardwalk without a dinner reservation or a resort reservation. $25 cake that’s hard to get to is a recipe for disaster.
not my choice, but if you say so...to each his ownmy choice
