FWIW - I was at WDW Sept 7-15 and while there booked a bounce back offer for next year. Same dates, same hotel, same package, and the final cost was $5 LESS than what I paid for this year. I don't ever remember a cost carrying over one year to the next.

Eh, we were looking at some dates in February and the discounts aren't very rich, with many of the allotments sold out for various resorts. Seems to be the same as in previous years IMO.

They're looking a little desperate.
How are they looking desperate. Even with the discounts the room rates are significantly higher than last year. My Beach Club room is $95 higher per night with the discount. Same dates as last year.

We tried to do the bounce back in August for Yacht/Beach (either one) and they wanted significantly more than what we paid this year. We passed.

No.

These discount have been happening for years.

For anyone who plans in advance, you can get these discounts. I've gotten them for Oct, Dec, and Feb for years now.
Yes and No.

Yes the discounts have been a constant for each season.

What varies is the inventory of applicable rooms associated with the discount. That inventory is larger and more diverse than in previous years where demand was higher.
