Studio Ghibli has lost its way, the last bunch of movies have been crap. The Boy and the Heron was terrible. Which is sad. About time Miyazaki retires for good before he tarnishes his legacy further. I don’t think Disney, whose latest releases have also been dire, can help save it.

I think Ghibli should remain Japanese owned always. Japanese culture plays such a fundamental role in the studio’s operations and work that if an American company (not just Disney, anyone) took it over, in my eyes it would cease to even be Ghibli.
