The tariffs are making me nervous for coco and avatar. Construction prices are going to be going through the roof. Hope we don't have another Disney decade situation where they made all the fun announcements and then little ever makes it off the drawing board.
Every sector including housing market.

Why because wood will be a little more expensive? They re just looking for an excuse then. Also perhaps they should stop announcing stuff 5 years ahead of time and think the world is always going to present them with perfect conditions.
If projects were indeed canned, stuff would leak out via these forums. However the second half of the 10 year parks plan that would be showed off at D23 2028 could be budget cut beyond recognition depending on the economy conditions come 2026-2027. Which is a shame considering how YTers like OG55 claimed that Josh said the second half of the ten year parks plan would be more grand.

I’m gonna take a wild guess and say a lot more than wood is gonna be more expensive
The tariffs won’t be around for long, once the economy is fully destroyed they will be repealed. The problem is also what capital will be available with the world partially boycotting us (-75% from Canada, -25% EU) and Americans having less discretionary spending thanks to inflation.

Just in case anyone was wondering… sounds like the Coco ride and Pandora at DCA are still happening. Between this confirmation, the aforementioned 2026 start date and the Olympics in 2028 I think it’s safe to assume that the Coco ride will be open in mid 2028 along with the new Avengers Campus attractions.

I’m still dreading Avatar being in place at DCA. It feels So wrong!

On paper it seems a bit off conceptually even with all the parks current inconsistencies. But when you are walking into a beautiful land full of trees/ shade and state of the art attraction I don’t think most people will mind. Of course that’s only if the alien fortress at Avengers Campus is bothering you. If not, I doubt this will.

Putting this in the Simba lot would help a lot with the perception of this land being out of place at the current park.

I would not expect Coco until later 2028 at the very earliest. When has Disney ever built a contemporary dark ride in two and half years (and that's assuming they start construction in January). Not to mention it will 100% be replacing either infrastructure or park space, so that adds even more time.

Hahah the sun came out for the first time in 5 days. I'm feeling optimistic. Ive been leaning 2029 too. 2.5 years I think is doable though. This isn't a whole land or even something extravagant like ROTR or the Avatar boat ride. I'm expecting a D+ ticket level boat ride. The Olympics might give them the extra bit of incentive to get it done asap. They built Galaxies Edge in 3.5 years. They can build a D ticket boat ride in 2.5 years if they want to. Thats the question though. Do they want to? Or do they want to spread out the new offerings? They’re also building two Avengers attractions simultaneously.

I rather see Disney rip out Autopia and much the areas around former Innovation building…or conserve Avatar for west end parks expansions.

Encanto is currently on this timeframe. I don’t think that indicates anything per se, but it’s clearly possible.
