With the number of times this thread becomes an EU thread, maybe we should rename it to "Villains Land and Epic Universe"

It's topical to compare two competing companies' approach and offerings... Pehaps if Disney would give us a little more than blurry gestural art, with no further details...Somethig for us to discuss, then perhaps the board would not derail as often...It would be nice to start getting some information by now...

No. It's not. Not topical to "VILLAINS LAND."

The back and forth are comparing company's E-Tickets in a measuring contest and not bringing in Villains Land into the discussion.

Please stop bickering. Thank you.

Please get back on topic.

I was referring to the remark where a poster was talking about the Universal Monsters dark ride being a good blueprint for what Disney could do with Villains... iterally talking about Villains land. I am hoping we do get some more information soon...Hopefully at the next D23 event.... At least a clearer idea of what they are going for.

I also put it lower than Seaworld Orlando + Busch Gardens Tampa IMO
It doesn't have the thrilling awesome coasters of those parks or the cohesive theming. I'm not pretending like either of those parks have the best theming ever but there is certainly an attempt to have decent cohesiveness to the whole thing and Universal Orlando is such an odd mismatch of "concepts" that are barely realized. We have still around 1/3 of the park being full on you're on a movie set, this is how movies are made. Then the 1/3 of it is that you're in the world of these movies but not done nearly as well as any of the other IP lands except for Diagon of course. Then you have the weird stragglers like MIB & Animal Actors & ET (don't replace ET but it's definitely off in its own kinda nonsensical area. Then the other 1/3 of it is just the cities with associated IP (kinda) because F&F iirc takes place in LA not SanFran so it makes just as much sense to put it over by Hollywood.

Let's not even talk about the minions land which are just painted soundstages because they didn't go for the facades to make the land look cohesive either. Just a very odd mismatch of concepts.

Disney is the king in recent times for not great theming

I would have thought the company who lets you see straight backstage in the first 3 seconds of a headliner coaster in a Viking village would be the kings of not great theming. They point you straight at an unthemed fence right off the station or unthemed curtains and walls in another
