For around $200 more, you can have an amazing, never-forgotten, multi-course meal at Victoria and Albert's, with exceptional service.

Or, you can sit in a small, stuffy room with a bunch of stinky people drinking fake champagne while watching a terrible view of fireworks.

Your choice.

I know I was completely dumbfounded and shocked when Disney decided to make their parks inaccessible for the commoner and only appeal to those who have all their meals with edible gold garnish on them, that their business would suffer.
But don’t you remember when they officially became “luxury”? It was at a podium at Sun valley…or outside the buffet on the Wonder…or somewhere first class

You'll be able to see the fireworks for sure, but it will be a suboptimal as you're going to miss a large portion of the actual. show based on the distance and obstructions. Many, including myself are wondering is the experience worth the $180 per person based on what has been offered.
It’s 9 Minutes out da window and a 500% market on some finger foods

What do you think?

I appreciate some of the creativity on the drinks, but it cements it even more as just a hotel lobby bar. There really is no perspective here other than "geodesic". Having just gone to Grand Helios, the offerings seem of similar quality and it - as an actual somewhat lightly themed hotel with hotel bars - had more theme and focus.

The irony I always find is the crowd who would run to go here but would never go to similar places in their own town or let alone Orlando. But, that's what Pixie Dust does best I guess...

They should have actually built an outdoor terrace area off the lounge for outdoor viewing... 4 stepsor so below the lounge level so the people outside would not block the view from indoors.... and that would double the amount of viewers nightly....and double the profits for the lounge

Anyone know if theres any blueprints that show how big the lounge actually is as part of the footprint of SSE? It's always looked fairly narrow from the outside, was curious how far it extends back into the upper area of the mid-2000s show exit, or does it occupy the entirety of that upper floor if the building?

Me searching this thread after the menu drop for other people who actually think most of it sounds pretty neat.

If you use a search engine for "epcot spaceship earth blueprint" you should be able to find something explanatory - floorplans and cross-sections. The central bit of Project Tomorrow which houses the globe is a cut-out in the second floor and extends the full height of the building, so as such the second floor is not continuous and the lounge cannot occupy the entire floor. There is probably an upper floor space towards the front above the ride exit point, and probably corridors/rooms around the perimeter of the building to the the back bit where the lounge is. It becomes a proper second floor again at the back, behind the globe, above the "energy" games. The external exit doors are probably the extent of the upper floor from the back of the building, with the mid-point being the bar/kitchen area rather than the guest area (former VIP room), which is just the narrow semi-circular bit around the edge. Just guesses though from the blueprints, I've never been up there!

[EDIT - the concept art shows a circular ceiling above the bar and partway into the seating area, and a narrow "extension" where the windows are. That ties in neatly with the profile of the building and the blueprints - the rear of the bar is probably in-line with the external exit doors from Project Tomorrow)

I guess they could make a huge lounge all the way round the circumference of the building if that space isn't used and is usable but...there are no windows!

Just so long as the bought and paid for influencers get their advanced deviled eggs and bubbly that's all Disney needs.

God forbid they actually do something that will result in mass appeal that doesn't scream out how out of touch they are with their core guest. (You know the core guests that are abandoning Disney Parks in droves because of this exact kind of thing.)

I kinda disagree. The core guest of EPCOT is someone who would love this. Families are going to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. The vast majority of families I know with kids skip EPCOT because the kids won't appreciate it.

I knew there would be some way Disney would put an up charge event in but sheesh almost $200 is crazy. They truly won’t stop until they have monetized every inch of the park to death. It has to have diminishing returns at some point.

Prosecco is not champagne. I serve it plenty in my side gig. It's low-rate garbage. You can call it "Italian champagne" all you want, it doesn't make it true.

You really think 12 feet of elevation is going to make that view clear? I have some real estate in south Florida I've love to sell you.
Yes. Go to the area between the two shops. It's a downhill slope, meaning people standing in front of you are already below you. Is it perfect? No. As for the lounge being 12 feet higher, if 12 feet doesn't do any good why do parents think it works to put their children on their shoulders? Think of it this way. Ground level or a platform directly above 12 feet higher. I'll take the 12 feet.

I can agree almost nothing at Disney is worth the price. DCA has a $94 dessert party for their Toy Story parade. What do you get? A spot, a box of snacks, and a non-alcoholic beverage. You can watch parades from anywhere on the parade route. No thanks.
