MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Sure it was. It was a part of the worlds most visited theme park for 50 years.

The entire park as a whole works together to create shareholder value.

Will this change create more shareholder value? Possibly. If executed well, it certainly could. I have hopes that it will be done well but will always be disappointed in the loss of the riverboat.
I'm pretty sure there is no way that the overall addition of Cars and Villains will not lead to atleast some growth in LL, Merch, Food, etc even if they were not that well executed. Now, do I want them to be amazing? Absolutely, but financially, there is no way that these could realistically fail other than maintenance issues which could certainly be a problem.

Continued here….

Eddie’s concept for Frontierland expansion at MK -

I had also mentioned the concept of the lower island being used for the cars attraction if that was absolutely necessary.

I hesitate to mention my personal thoughts on what may or may not have been discussed at WDI - but it seems possible that the original piston peak concept could have included the riverboat - but that was cut down because of budget or other reasons.

Either way…. I think continuing to discuss Eddie’s thoughts would be a good thing :)

meh, wouldn't read to much into it yet, personally wouldn't be surprised if they removed the riverboat to prep it for a permanent spot at a hotel wether it be the new DVC, Floridian, or somewhere else. Ie not upset and hopeful unless we get news it's destroyed. Also having been in MK this last week, the construction progress is amazing and hopeful whatever they make will be done quicker then expected.

question, went to wdw this last week and it was great, and every ride was running better then I've seen in years. Except for Tianas. with half of the AA's being down and low waits. what I was thinking is what are the odds somewhere in the next five years on construction of cars, they close down Tianas and overhaul parts of it kinda like what they're doing to Big thunder rn. esp with the concept art for cars already showing close by changes to the area

This isn’t the construction thread! How dare you!!!! (Sarcasm off)

They have a ways to go before the site is ready for construction- and I’m not sure if it was ready today they would be ready to build.

But yes - they are making progress. It would be more depressing if the river was still in tact and things moving at a snails pace that’s for sure.

Or they just need the space in the marina and it's going to be stored on land for now.

I’d guess they will be partially taking it apart - they won’t need the boiler and steam engines anymore - could potentially store them for future use if they wanted to bring back a steam riverboat in Paris, etc.

If they choose to keep the actual boat as a prop or decor somewhere that would still be an option.

I’m sure they’ll install the bell in piston peak and say “see we love our fans!!!!”

They should just send the whole thing to Paris to have two operational boats again.
