It’s not something up for debate….

Coco is #8 on the highest grossing Pixar Films of all time. None of the Cars movies are in the top 10.

On rotten tomatoes Coco is #7 with a 97% / 94% score. All 3 cars movies are actually at the very bottom of the list with the exception of the first cars movie which beat out Elemental in popularity.

I have nothing against cars… cars land in DCA is incredible. But facts are facts.

Your facts don’t relate to the point you are trying to make.

1st point.

You are attempting to use box office numbers to measure IP popularity.

The Good Dinosaur had a higher box office than Encanto and Cars. Nothing more to be said here.

2nd point.

You are trying to say Coco is more popular than Cars today………………..by quoting how the movies are rated.

There is zero correlation between those two metrics. I can easily post some highly rated movies on Rotten Tomatoes that most people have never seen.

Elio is about to be one of the worst flops in not only Pixar but Disney history, meanwhile Rotten Tomatoes has it rated higher than Cars.

Fact of the matter is merch sales along with many other metrics must factor into popularity, you can’t just use ratings and box office. It’s common sense. People don’t ask for merch of things they don’t like. A lot of boys love Cars. Boys are a segment Disney has found tough to crack with their original IP, and Cars has managed to sit comfortably in that lane. It’s not going anywhere.

It’s hard to measure “cultural popularity” - obviously the merch sales are extremely high.

As an overall franchise it’s indeed very high on the list - which is why Disney is building more for an otherwise poorly performing (by box office and critic reviews) franchise.

That’s exactly what my point is.

Since they supposedly aren't removing the Frontierland boardwalk or the dock to the Liberty Belle is there any chance they could re-dock it in its old location as a permanent fixture as part of Liberty Square?
I said many times that they should “park” her right across from Tiana, convert her to a QS and sell beignets there…but of course we are just stupid fans…

Still think that would look off with the flowing river from a mountain in a national park

Personally I think best idea is parking here at Port Orleans Riverside and setting it up as a snack counter/lounge .... Parking it over by the Wedding Pavilion by Grand Flo could work too and make for a nice spot for photos
