MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

I think the Cars attraction will be essentially a land, because viewed from Frontierland it's going to be a berm, rockwork, and (hopefully) water feature who's main purpose is to visually obscure the ride area.
Once inside the ride are, you are not really going to see into Froniterland.
There may be areas where we can see the cars - perhaps they will emerge or enter tunnels on some elevated portions?
But, that's be odd because in Frontierland, we are not supposed to be in the present day.
Agreed. Lands aren’t just arbitrary lines drawn on a map. They align to the storytelling and spatial experience of the park. It’s why the neighborhoods in Epcot don’t make sense, because they just drew lines on paper but didn’t change enough of the spatial experience.

But it is clearly part of Frontierland. It's like saying Tom Sawyer Island and RoA is it's own land because it's a whole other thing. Or Serka Zong is not actually part if Asia because it has its own attraction, shops and dining. A land can have its own subsections but the Cars attractions are part of Frontierland
But it is clearly not part of Frontierland. What I meant by whole other thing is that their description doesn’t fit what they presented. Sorry I wasn’t clear. Otherwise, I agree with the comments @Bocabear made.

Who said we had to pretend that? Disney made it clear that RoA was going.

They never said "and we'll do it in a way such that you won't even notice the river is gone!!"
I said nothing about Disney saying it. I was referring to people arguing fans shouldn't be negative about the project because Disney is going to replace it with something that's the equivalent on natural beauty.
1. The whole area is not going to he a dirt track, it will be a national forest and the ride appears to be mostly hidden within it.

4. Just because the River is leaving does not mean that the national park setting full of trees, waterfalls, and rock formations will not also be beautiful to look at AND provide a spot to rest in even if you don’t wish to ride the attraction(s) there. It also does not mean that we won’t be getting wilderness themes. If anything this opens us up to MORE of that by diversifying the settings and aesthetics of the area rather than a bland looking wildest west style pathway next to the attractions.

We can debate as much as we want about Cars not fitting in Frontierland and if they can make it fit. But denying that Disney is marketing the Cars attractions as part of Frontierland when it is clearly is is maddening. The whole reason why I brought it up in the first place was to temper expectations because we are not getting a new land replacing RoA. We're having an attraction in Frontierland and the Liberty Belle replaced by 2 attractions located in Frontierland

They could market it as a whole new park. Theme parks are experiences in built space. That experience is what’s really important, not what is just said.

Disney marketing the Cars attractions as part of Frontierland is Disney gaslighting their guests.

With that logic, let's just say the Cars attractions are being built in MK and are actually a part of Hollywood Studios because it fits better there 🙄
Sometimes we just need to accept facts as they are and stop ignoring what we've been told. It will not be a Cars Land. It is 2 rides and the attached gift shop as part of Frontierland

It doesn’t matter what they re calling it or how they choose to gaslight us. All that matters is what it feels like. The two cars attractions will take up a sizeable amount of acreage and will be more or less surrounded by a ring of trees in an attempt to buffer it from the remnants of Frontierland and Liberty Square. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

It is a simple request though for people to stop referring to it as Cars Land when it isn't Cars Land. We know it doesn't fit in Frontierland but that doesn't mean we should falsely be referring to this project as Cars Land. Cars Land and Cars attractions are 2 very different scales

Besides, do we actually know there will be a Cars themed restaurant in this area?

“Theme park in a theme park” isn’t something I made up. It’s how Hogsmead was originally touted and people rightly rolled their eyes.

There is no inherent scale to a Cars Land. It’s very clearly a distinct area and as of right now doesn’t have a given name. A land having distinct parts isn’t something new. Magic Kingdom itself has Caribbean Plaza and Storybook Circus.

It feels like I'm banging my head against a wall on this thread. Clearly when people are saying Cars Land, there comparing it to the actual Cars Land at DCA. If you ae referring to it as a subsection of Frontierland, which it is, it will likely be called Piston Peak. But until that's confirmed, it's just easier to call it the Cars attractions

If only there was a word that described a discrete area that contains some assortment of attractions, retail and/or dining…

While I agree fundamentally, the -land suffix generally has a very specific connotation that certain posters are clearly extrapolating all the way out to a certain end that differs from Storybook Circus, Caribbean Plaza, etc. It seems like it would make more sense to just call it Piston Peak, though I know that's not official. I just very much doubt we'd be in a situation where a pairing of Moana attractions in the Fire Mountain plot would be getting called Moanaland.

We have Space Mountain, and Thunder Mountain, we use to have Splash Mountain.

They should call this Dirt Track Mountain ;)

Subsection.
You know exactly what I'm talking about when I say the scale of Cars Land compared to what we're getting in Frontierland. Cars Land refers to what we have at DCA, with 3 attractions, 3 restaurants, and 3 shops. The Cars section of Frontierland is only going to be 2 attractions and a shop.
If it's a land, on a map it will have its name appear like this and we know that won't be seeing Cars Land on the maps:

That's like saying all of these are lands on their own:
  • Caribbean Plaza (1 attraction, 1 restaurant, 1 shop, 1 interactive experience, 1 meet and greet)
  • Belle's Village (1 attraction, 2 restaurants, 1 shop)
  • Dino-Rama (3 attractions, 1 shop)
  • Serka Zong (1 attraction, 1 shop, 3 restaurants)
  • Alice in Wonderland section of Disneyland (2 attractions, 1 shop)
