MK All-New Nighttime Parade Disney Starlight Set to Debut at Magic Kingdom in 2025

A few additional notes…. Several characters on floats are just static - goat on wish, pig and chicken on Moana…. Usually characters like that are animated in Disney parades.

The parade seems to move faster and be squished together. Paint the night has big gaps to allow the operations to let guests cross, but that breaks up the parade and lets you take it all in better. I felt like I was still watching the princess float and then missed the coco float cause it was already there.

likewise it’s very easy to completely miss the Pinocchio effect because it’s timed so slow compared to the pace of the parade.

Ugh, time to be mean again...

While these are cheapo garbage quality that won't hold up past the first couple of uses, there are kid's wearable butterfly wings on Amazon that cost less than $30 that still look far better than Starlight's. I am not exaggerating...

And before you say anything, yes I know these are cheaply made trash that will fall apart after a few times of being worn, if they even survive delivery. And they're obviously nowhere close to their prior parade costume standards (but again somehow vastly better looking than Starlight's). One expects that Disney's should be vastly better looking than this AND better constructed to hold up over time... Except oh wait, not only do these somehow look better, but turns out Disney's are ALSO already falling apart after only a couple days.

Disney's bar is so low that they're playing limbo in hell's basement.

Good sir. You insult the good people at cojodopo and their fine craftsmanship!!

Have you tried Temu?

Since you brought Temu up, I took a peek. And what they have is ALSO much better looking than Starlight. 🤣

We watched it on YouTube then watched the Main Street Electrical parade. Obviously the old parade was better than this new one but I am still happy we have this parade because something is better than nothing.
youtube, I dont care what video, has nothing on this parade in person. Its beautiful in person, lack of characters/smaller floats issues aside, yes for sure. But so many here keep critiquing based on the video they saw, the feeling in person was energetic uplifting energy from the crowds and chills from the moving music in surround sound, and there is nothing like seeing these amazing lit floats there in the flesh. They killed it opening night there was nothing else like it,,,my concern is what happens from here moving forward when ops start hacking away at it, only so much they can cut from this one.

At least MSEP and Spectromagic actually had small animatronics, puppets, and moving figures for certain floats.

Looking forward to see it in person. I am happy there is a nighttime parade finally back in MK.

My thoughts exactly. The energy and atmosphere in person is something that I have never felt at Walt Disney World until this parade debuted. I understand that I'm young and don't have vivid memories of SpectroMagic and MSEP, but I'll adore Starlight as long as it's here.

The best energy I’ve felt was for MSEP at Disneyland. It’s incredible how loved it is in her true home park.

The opening music of Starlight makes me more excited than the majority of the parade though. Princess and Train are great cause… they actually have characters! Haha

Yeah, I noted before that needing to see it in person goes double for things that are light-centric. Cameras nowadays are great but light is still something that’s difficult to show fully from a recording. I’m glad you really enjoyed it. I think my son will be thrilled as it has a train!
