You mean it will not have a thumping base like Paint The Night? Some on here will be disappointed 🤣

I think there is place for both - I really like Paint the Night, but also really like Illuminations, but I wouldn't want *only* either of them ... in this case, especially with DLR getting Pain the Night again I think something more instrumental/less poppy is probably the best

I want these floats in Starlight and I’ll be disappointed if they are not lol. They are a perfect nod to Spectro and deserve to be in Starlight, not Paint The Night in my opinion, Wrong park lol.
The chandelier mini floats are nice and i'd like to see something like them. Spectromagic's ball floats were a lot more elegant than PtN's. PtN typically uses a more square grid pattern to its lights. It's capable of forming other patterns, but it often defaults to the more basic and modern looking pattern. Spectro's lights were permanently oriented in curved diamond patterns. And between the lights, the black space was mirrored (both in black or silver). Subtly reflecting both the sparkling lights within the floats as well as the light and color of the surrounding environment.

You say “normal” but thats my point. Promise one thing deliver another… to me thats not acceptable and again proves my point.
But generally they didn’t promise things for SWL and Pandora and then cut them. (Possibly the SWL restaurant,, since that was on the plans).

We know about things that were cut because posters here told us; you could say they leaked the information.

Is that annoying? Yes. Did we spend a long time discussing them and being frustrated? Again, yes.

But they weren’t promised. Which is what people have pointed out to you.

To see them with modern lighting would be pretty awesome. Although nothing wrong with the classic non leds.

Don't get me wrong. I understand the sentiment of wanting to let them have as much time as they need to perfect this, but it would be nice to know the date of when it's debuting.

Patience. It’s something you need a very healthy dose of. Your incessant posting about needing to know an opening date is like rubbing 32-grit sandpaper on… places sandpaper shouldn’t be rubbed.

Both resorts or just the one without a new theme park opening this month?
Our bookings skew so heavily towards Disney I'm sure this isn't an exemplary breakdown, but I've only noticed one or two Universal cancelations in our group for the summer. However, funneling Epic tirekickers into actual bookings was very challenging as well. We didn't have that many more Uni booking than last summer.

I think Epic's impending opening may have pushed some Disney people to "hold dates" with a deposit thinking they'd to a WDW trip and squeeze in Epic. Pricing and access challenges - along with economic factors - kicked off a cluster of cancelations.

Disney expected an Epic bump this summer, but there's no indication of that happening.

I don’t remember what they said for Pandora but they definitely “promised” more than they delivered for Star Wars land. Roaming aliens, droids, and personalized interactivity were all touted by the company. Those were the things that were really supposed to set it apart too.

I dunno what they’ve said for this parade. But I hope it’s good and we get to enjoy years of quality evening entertainment.

When do we expect to hear a date for this thing. It's supposed to debut this summer and it's May so what's the holdup. Do they not have a date yet?
I’m speculating here, so I could be wrong, but I'm not expecting the debut date for around 3 more weeks at this point. Disney could easily do a massive media push after Epic Universe opens by announcing the debut date for Starlight alongside the debuts of Villains and Mermaid at DHS. I also wouldn't be shocked to see the BDX droids arrive at DHS on the 27th. Starlight will get its own focus before Test Track opens.
